Your Impact: Making a Real Difference!

Bringing hope

So many of you have personal experience in the trauma associated with substance use disorders.  Maybe it's with your son or daughter, or your spouse, a relative, friend, or neighbor. Maybe even you. It’s painful. To walk through, to watch, to try to help, to hope… especially when the outcome can truly mean life or death. Friends, I see you. I truly get it.

While I may have education, real experience, and reliable resources, that I know can help, it is Jesus that anchors me in this journey. My faith in Christ gives me the strength to enter in again and again— despite the odds, no matter the outcome. I get to bring the love of Jesus into every situation and, by the grace of God, He makes Himself known.

Your support is making a difference!

God has been so good to encourage me with thank you notes. I am blessed to get them all the time. Below are just a few that I’ve received recently. I share them with permission but have removed names and places due to the sensitive nature of my work. Here is a small sample of the wondrous ways God is at work in and through Harbor Rock Recovery…

Daughter in Danger

Greetings Pastor Dan - just wanted to express my gratitude towards your ministry in helping my daughter [  ] navigate her relationship with her boyfriend this past summer. She has since moved back home. She was able to keep her job with a work-from-home option. I must say my $1,000 investment in Harbor Rock Recovery has paid dividends in excess of what I could have ever dreamed of. To say the least, I will be supporting you again this next year (and beyond Lord willing).

Intervention Experience

You are such a gift from God to addicts and families. This message is so valuable. We attended church and prayed with the prayer team and sermon message was “we aren’t walking this road alone but walking it with fellow worshippers and all the saints that went before us” The Lord will take care of [  ]

Treatment after Intervention

I talked to [  ] on the phone today. He sounds fantastic. Happy, engaged, natural without barriers. He said [the treatment program] was such a great experience, everyone was so professional in addition to being warm and friendly. He said he’s sleeping good and his blood pressure is coming down. I’m so thrilled and so thankful for your help. I gave [our Pastor] my full support and recommendation for your ministry today. I told him how much we appreciate and trust your process and love for others. God Bless you Pastor Dan

Thankful Mom

Hi Dan-  I want to update you - [  ] is currently in a local detox and will transfer to [  ] for rehab. I saw him Saturday and is doing really good, obviously uncomfortable but hanging in there. Glad you helped get him there even if he didn't know it, lol. He also seems more open to after care community and 12 step meetings and he just really wanted to thank you for your help as do I - Thanks for being such a Rockstar ♥️🙏  [  ] said he’ll call when he gets out…

Sober Living Experience

Thank you so much Dan for helping me with my faith and future. I’ve had some excellent discussions with my roommates about our present and future faith/sober journey. Today is my 11 month anniversary and I am so grateful.

(2 months later)

Thanks be to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Hi Dan. I hope and pray you and all the HRR guys are doing well. I’m currently in [  ] and visited [vacation spots] today. God has blessed me with good health, sobriety, and safety on the road. Thanks again SO much for helping me turn my life around. Take care my friend. [   ] 🙏🤙

Stories Behind It All

Last week, I was interviewed on some of the origins of my passion for recovery and why I started Harbor Rock Recovery. Pastor Mike of King’s Harbor Church, knowing some of the story, said, “For you, this is personal, isn’t it? Can you tell us more about that?”
Yes, It is… and you can watch the full interview HERE.
