What a gift!!!
"What do you want for Christmas?"
That's the question my wife asked me...
"World Peace" was my snappy answer. Which would be awesome, but not within my wife's ability... Though I do think she could rule the world! She pretty amazing!
This year for 2023 the “hottest gift idea” is a Digital Pet and I’ve gotta say that sounds cool. Some semblance of companionship, no mess or maintenance… But maybe only a short-lived pleasure, soon to be lost under the bed or set upon a shelf to forgotten with the hopes of representing a furry friend?
I think what people want and may not even know they need is:
Personal Peace.
Real Hope.
Transcendent Purpose.
Freedom from addictions.
Freedom to live, love and serve others.
This is what Recovery with Jesus offers to any and all people.
PEACE: The heart of the Gospel is a relationship with Jesus! Within that relationship are found countless beautiful gifts of God that includes personal peace with God! Forgiveness for sins, past, present and yes, future! So profound, this peace with God that we live to be peacemakers, know as children of God! Matthew 5:9
HOPE: Recovery with Jesus births a new trust in Jesus, beyond our feeling, our thoughts, even our circumstances. Giving us real hope in this life unto eternity! (Roman5:5)
Purpose: Why we live, love and serve others is our contribution to the world we live in, our families, friends, neighbor and beyond. The net impact of our life is called legacy and will out live us! Like Jesus, who gives us Peace, Hope, Purpose that extends beyond this world, our lives have tremendous impact and purpose!
Oh and for the beloved ones struggling with addictions, there is freedom from the madness and freedom to a life of abundance.
WHAT A GIFT we have in Jesus!!!
We, at Harbor Rock Recovery, pray that you would experience personal peace and real hope this Christmas. Freedom from addictions, freedom to live, love and serve others, all because God with us!
